Deneskid Heights

The northern highland province of Tharax bears the name of the Deneskid royal line, one of the two royal bloodlines of Tharax, each of which claims descent from the realm's founders. It holds the town of Denekt, the Temple of Kharnoth and, on its southern edge, the Kokekt Mines. This is high, cold country of scree, pine woods and alpine meadow, the hunting ground of the Karzhan bear and ibex. The Stair pass, garrisoned by Aldmere under the Bridge Treaty of 1052, lies beyond it to the north.
