Wreckers Cove

Wreckers Cove is the pirate haven of the Shattered Isles and the base of the Salt Brotherhood since the Drowning of Vexport in 1004, when the Brotherhood rebuilt here. It is also the name of Captain-Queen Sormerva Vex's own crew, which disputes with the Drowned Kings over which of them is Vexara's true heir. The Captain-King or Queen is elected at the ebb and sworn at the flood, so the sea hears both halves of the promise. The Brotherhood's quartermaster, Chobecho Two-Fathom, runs its shares, stores and elections. The cove is sheltered among reefs and sea cliffs where petrels nest, and its beaches swarm with land-crabs at night.
