The Talodin Corridor

The strip of green that follows the River Talodin across the Sunmaw, and the reason Zarvand exists at all. Date palms give the valley its bread, sugar, rope and roofs; mulberry groves feed the silk-moths of the garden cities; Talodin reed is made into Zarvand's paper; and carp are farmed in the salest pools. Golden jackals haunt the river villages, cobras live in the reeds, and the Talodin mosquito carries the river fever. Every great city of the Khaasarate except Daalher and the oasis towns stands on or near it, joined by roads lined with fortified caravanserais.
