The Northmere

The Northmere is Aldmere's northeastern march along the north shore of Lake Surmave, reaching east toward the Tsanha fords and the Grass Sea. It suffered the last great Hrodvald raid in 1127, on Thalmirn, after which the crown finally fortified Lulstat and the Northmere. Its lords marry daughters of the Vargate Clans and of Clan Nugag, and it is home to some of Aldmere's Sun-Turners, northern converts to the Radiant Iévaine. The reed-cutting Marsh Reeds live in its marshes, and the gray mere wolf, rarely seen south of Hethlend since the last great hunt, still ranges here.
