Shanyo (province)

The Dominion's northernmost province, around the city of Shanyo, where Kaishon borders the Hrodvald lands of Clan Fevur. Its northern woods hold the spotted Shanyo deer, whose antler velvet is sold as medicine, and its hills grow Shanyo tea, the Dominion's daily drink and its second export after silk. The black-and-white Shanyo magpie is a bird of luck. After Hrodvald longships sacked Shanyo in 763, Kaishon extended the Rampart's northern forts to the sea across this province.
