A hard gray woman with a face like a hatchet and a limp from a childhood fall in the Kokekt mines. Widow of a king's brother, mother of three dead soldiers. She runs the secret watch over the Bound and has done for eleven years, longer than any Skekir is supposed to hold anything. Never raises her voice. Knows the name of every Bound village headman and which of them she will hang first if the Lowfields stir. Believes the Bound are a wolf held by the ears and that the Phymun are too few to let go. Evil in effect, patriotic in intent. Sleeps well.
