Descendant of the Sierine Tésvol who built the first heliograph line. Small, quick, freckled, with lens-burns on her fingertips and a squint from years of staring into polished bronze. Wears men's work clothes and a tool belt in a city of silk. Her family lost its bank in the Panic of 1068 and its pride never recovered; she is trying to rebuild the name with mirrors instead of money. Has designed a signal tower that could reach the Grass Sea. Talks too fast, cannot lie, and is therefore the only person in Solvaine that Roltien Aijal finds relaxing. Good, obsessive, oblivious to politics. Which means politics will find her.
